Me and My little Buddy
Taken in 1992 in a little open-air bar on the Island of Phuket, Thailand. (pronounced "poo-ket") That little thing in my arms is a Spider Monkey and belonged to the owner of the Bar. While enjoying my beer and the warm tropical sunshine, this little girl jumped into my lap and proceeded to place her little arms around me and fell asleep. When it was fanally time for me to go, she screamed, kicked, hollered and made quite a fuss while clutching at me for dear life.... This of course made the owner upset and she tried to give this cute little thing to me. I would have taken her too, if not for some dumb little regulation that says, "No animals are allowed aboard a Naval Vessel..." Stupid rule, I know, but there was nothing I could do. She was cute though, don't you think? By the way, this was the closest I came to having a girlfriend in Thailand..... *grin!*
